PAYE, NIS, NHT, Education Tax & HEART — worked out, and your S01, S02 & P45 built for the TAJ portal. For one company or a book of ten.
Same engine behind all three. What changes is how much of it you need — so each one gets its true weight here, not three equal boxes.
One set of books, your staff, your returns — on your own machines, working whether the internet does or not.
Every client keeps their own books, their own history and their own returns — reached with one key, from one place.
No staff and no payroll — just your own income tax to sort out once a year, by 15 March. See your figures first, in your browser, before you pay; the official S04 and every schedule that goes with it, filled in from your own figures. Pay for the work, not the form — J$7,500 once it’s all worked out and checked.
See what I owe →Four real screens, in the order the month happens — and it goes round again next month. Or skip the pictures and open the live demo in your browser right now.
The same month-end done the old way and the Brawta way — typical for a 25–50 staff payroll — then what those hours are actually worth to you.
| Each month | The manual way | With Brawta |
|---|---|---|
| Work out gross-to-net | 8–16 hours | Under 2 minutes |
| Bank upload file & payslips | 4–8 hours | 5–10 minutes |
| File the S01 | 4–6 hours | About 5 minutes |
| S02 year-end season | 2–3 days | Instant export |
| Total each month | 20–30 hours | Under 30 minutes |
That's roughly three business days handed back to you every month.
Every plan includes the full statutory engine and current-year tax tables. Choose by the size of your payroll — and start free.

Encrypted cloud backup is included free for every licensed user — an off-site copy only you can open. If it ever becomes a paid add-on, anyone already using it gets fair notice first.

Brawta is a product of RKhan Investment Limited, a company incorporated in Jamaica (Company No. 106187). Invoices and payments are in that name.
Your data lives on your own computer — by default nothing is ever sent anywhere. Set a passphrase and the app locks on every launch and encrypts every backup (AES-256), supporting your obligations under Jamaica's Data Protection Act. Automatic daily backups (last 14 kept), one-click manual backups, and a full audit trail of every change come built in. If you want an off-site safety net, you can opt in to an encrypted cloud backup — the file is sealed on your machine first, so only you can ever open it (we and the cloud provider only hold a locked file). It's off by default and included free.
The 2025–2028 increases announced by the Minister are already built in and apply automatically on 1 April each year — so you're current through 2028 with nothing to do. Any later change ships as a one-click update. Rate sets are effective-dated, so pay runs before a change keep the old figures and runs after it use the new ones — exactly how TAJ expects.
Yes, for everything you do on your own — calculations, payslips, official forms, backups and the audit trail all run with no connection at all. A connection is needed for: downloading the app, update checks (the app looks for a new version when it can — it never downloads or installs one without you), sending payslips by email/WhatsApp, and — if you switch them on — two-person review and encrypted cloud backup, which both pass data between machines. Those are off unless you turn them on, and even then your data is locked before it leaves your computer.
Yes. Brawta works out your income tax, NIS, NHT and Education Tax from the figures you enter and fills the official S04 Annual Return. You can compute and preview your whole return free in your browser; the J$7,500 covers the work of filling and checking the complete return — every figure and every schedule, ready to file. TAJ's forms are free; preparing them properly is what you are paying for, or you can have a Brawta-powered accountant file it for you. See Self-employed pricing.
Brawta keeps working and your data stays yours — the app simply returns to the free tier's limits and stops receiving new-year tax tables. Nothing is ever locked away from you.
Yes. There's a read-only accountant view (they can inspect everything and export reports without being able to change a figure), a full audit trail, and a balanced GL journal export that drops into QuickBooks or Sage. Bookkeepers running many clients should ask about the Enterprise plan — the same one Jamaica’s payroll bureaus run on.
Message us on WhatsApp. You pay in Jamaican dollars (bank transfer), we send your licence key, and you paste it into the app once — that's the whole setup. Keys work offline.
Download Brawta for Windows and run your first payslip in minutes — or message us and we’ll set you up.
Tell us what you're paying today and we'll come back with a straight answer — including whether Brawta is the wrong fit.
